Ortler

Ortler, or Monte Ortler in Italian, is the highest mountain of the Ortler Alps and the tallest peak in the South Tyrol region of northern Italy, reaching 3,905 meters above sea level. It lies near the border with Austria and is part of Stelvio National Park, which was established in 1935 to protect its alpine environments and glaciers.

Geographically, the Ortler massif forms the southern end of the Ortler Alps in the Central Eastern Alps.
