Vingrörelser refers to the movements of wings, primarily in the context of avian flight. These complex motions are essential for birds to achieve lift, propulsion, and maneuverability in the air. The primary wing movements involve the downstroke and the upstroke. During the downstroke, the wing moves downwards and forwards, generating the majority of the thrust and lift. The primary feathers are spread to create a broad surface. The upstroke, conversely, is typically a recovery phase where the wing moves upwards and backwards, often with a reduced surface area as the feathers flex and fold to minimize air resistance.
