Veðurstofu

Veðurstofu is the Icelandic name used to refer to the Icelandic Meteorological Office, the national meteorological and geological agency of Iceland. In English, the organization is commonly called the Icelandic Meteorological Office (Veðurstofa Íslands). Its mandate includes weather forecasting, climate monitoring, and the issuance of public warnings for natural hazards.

Its responsibilities cover meteorology, seismology, volcanology, and hydrology.
