Vetokoneista

Vetokoneista, also known as the "Veto Machine," is a term used to describe the process by which a small group of countries can block or delay decisions in international organizations, particularly the United Nations Security Council. The term was popularized by the American political scientist Robert Keohane in his 1984 book of the same name. The Veto Machine refers to the power of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China - to veto any substantive resolution. This means that any of these five countries can block a decision, effectively halting the process.
