Vesiroiskeiltaa

Vesiroiskeiltaa is a traditional Finnish sport that combines elements of rowing and skiing. The sport is played on a frozen lake or river, using a special boat called a vesiroisku. The vesiroisku is a long, narrow boat with a single oar, and it is propelled by a single person, known as the vesiroiskija. The vesiroiskija stands on the boat and uses the oar to propel the boat forward, while the other team members, known as the vesiroiskijat, stand on the ice and use their poles to guide the boat and provide support.

The objective of vesiroiskeiltaa is to score points by hitting a target, known as the vesiroiskukivi, with a ball called a vesiroiskupallo. The vesiroiskukivi is placed at the opposite end of the lake or river, and the vesiroiskija must navigate the boat to the target and hit the ball with the oar. The vesiroiskijat must then retrieve the ball and return it to the vesiroiskija, who must then repeat the process.

Vesiroiskeiltaa is a popular sport in Finland, and it is often played as a team sport, with each team consisting of four to six members. The sport requires a high level of skill and coordination, as the vesiroiskija must navigate the boat and hit the ball with precision, while the vesiroiskijat must guide the boat and provide support.
