Verteileville

Verteileville is a fictional town in the Nordmark region of Veridia. The name derives from the German verb verteilen, meaning to distribute, reflecting the community's historical and contemporary role as a distribution and logistics hub.

Located on a pastoral plain near the Ver river, Verteileville sits at a crossroads of regional roadways and a rail line. The economy centers on warehousing, logistics, and light manufacturing; several national distribution centers operate within the municipal area.

Settled in the 17th century, the town expanded after the arrival of the railway in the 19th century. It obtained town rights in 1956 and has since developed a mixed urban-rural character.

As of 2022, the population is about 11,500, with a diverse workforce drawn from nearby municipalities. Local government consists of a mayor and a 12-member council elected for four-year terms.

Notable features include the Town Hall, built in the 1920s, and the Verds Reservoir Park. The annual Verteilefest festival celebrates regional produce and logistics heritage. Public transport includes a regional bus network and an intercity rail link.
