Verrannaiset
Verrannaiset is a term used in linguistics to describe analogical counterparts within a word paradigm. In Finnish, verrannaiset literally refers to analogues or counterparts, derived from the core concept of comparing forms to identify parallel patterns. A verrannainen is a form that has been created or altered by analogy with another form, such that two forms in the same grammatical category become functionally parallel even if their historical development differs.
