Vernadsky
Vernadsky generally refers to Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky (1863–1945), a Russian‑Ukrainian scientist who is widely regarded as a founder of geochemistry and biogeochemistry and a pioneer in Earth system science. He advanced mineralogy and crystal chemistry and is best known for portraying the deep interconnections between life and the Earth’s geochemical cycles.
