Venutius
Venutius was a chieftain of the Brigantes, a Celtic tribe in what is now northern England, during the Roman conquest of Britain. He rose to prominence in the 1st century AD, a period of significant upheaval as the Romans sought to expand their control over the island. Venutius was married to Cartimandua, the queen of the Brigantes. Their relationship became a crucial factor in the unfolding events between the Brigantes and the Romans.
