Vegajärjestelmää refers to the Vega system, a celestial system located in the constellation Lyra. It is primarily known for the star Vega, a bright white star and one of the most prominent stars in the Earth's night sky. Vega is a main-sequence star of spectral type A0V and is considerably hotter and more luminous than our Sun.

The Vega system is of significant interest to astronomers due to several factors. Vega is part of the Summer Triangle, a prominent asterism formed with the stars Altair and Deneb. Its relative proximity to Earth, about 25 light-years away, makes it an accessible target for detailed study.
