Vastaimetuus

Vastaimetuus, a term originating from Estonian, translates to "counter-impetus" or "counter-force." It refers to a concept of resistance or pushback against an imposed direction, movement, or influence. This can manifest in various contexts, from physical phenomena to social and political dynamics.

In a physical sense, vastaimetuus can be observed when an object exerts a force back on whatever is acting upon it. For instance, a wall provides vastaimetuus to a ball thrown against it, preventing the ball from passing through. This principle is closely related to Newton's third law of motion, which states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
