Vastagodása

Vastagodása is a Hungarian noun describing the process of becoming thicker or the increase in thickness of an object or tissue. It is formed from the adjective vastag (thick) with the nominalizing suffix -odás. The term is used across disciplines to denote a change in thickness rather than a change in size or length.

In medicine and physiology, vastagodás often refers to thickening of tissues, particularly blood vessel walls. Arteriális vagy érrendszeri vastagodás can result from hypertrophy or hyperplasia of vascular smooth muscle, deposition of extracellular matrix, or inflammatory processes.
