Varianzaufklärung
Varianzaufklärung, often translated as "explained variance" or "proportion of variance explained," is a fundamental concept in statistics and research methodology. It quantifies how much of the variability in an outcome variable can be accounted for by one or more predictor variables. In simpler terms, it tells us how well a model or a set of factors can predict or explain the changes observed in another variable.
The most common measure of explained variance is the coefficient of determination, denoted as R-squared (R²).
