Vandmiljøplanerne
Vandmiljøplanerne, often translated as "Water Environment Plans," are a series of strategic action programs implemented in Denmark to improve the quality of water bodies and reduce pollution from various sources. The first Vandmiljøplan was launched in 1987, followed by Vandmiljøplan II in 1997 and Vandmiljøplan III in 2004. These plans were developed in response to growing concerns about eutrophication, pollution from agriculture, and the overall health of Danish lakes, rivers, and coastal waters.
