Vandale

Vandale is a municipality in the Basse-Saxe district of Germany. It is situated southeast of Cuxhaven, approximately 19 km north of Bremervörde. Vandale borders the municipalities of Kiebitzreite, Ringstedt, Hollnseth, and Odersum.

The history of Vandale dates back to the Middle Ages. The region was initially settled by the Frisians, a Germanic tribe. In the 13th century, Vandale was mentioned in written records for the first time. The town was a small village until the end of World War II, when it experienced significant growth due to refugees and displaced persons.

Today, Vandale is a small community with a population of approximately 1,200 people. Agriculture and forestry are important sectors in the local economy. The town is home to several small businesses, a school, and a church.
