Valutatehingud, often translated as currency exchange or foreign exchange transactions, refers to the act of exchanging one national currency for another. This is a fundamental process in international trade, tourism, and investment. When individuals or businesses engage in valutatehingud, they are essentially buying or selling one currency with the intention of acquiring another. The rate at which this exchange occurs is known as the exchange rate, which fluctuates constantly based on various economic and political factors.

These transactions can occur through several channels. Banks and specialized currency exchange offices are common places for individuals to exchange money, particularly for travel purposes.
