Valkeeach is a small coastal municipality and fishing town in the fictional region of Northvale. It sits on the sheltered bay of Valke Beach and the adjacent tidal river, with a population of about 3,800 as of 2022. The toponym Valkeeach is of uncertain origin, with earliest records dating to the 14th century. The geography includes low cliffs, salt marshes, and an estuary that supports migratory birds and aquaculture.

Historically, Valkeeach developed as a fishing harbor in the Middle Ages, expanded during the 19th century as steamships reached the port, and shifted toward tourism and seafood processing in the late 20th century. The local economy remains anchored in fishing, small-scale aquaculture, and seaside tourism, with seasonal visitor numbers rising during summer festivals.

Governance is by a 9-member municipal council led by a mayor. The town is part of Northvale county and elects representatives to the regional assembly.
