Valenmark is a fictional sovereign state used in speculative fiction and worldbuilding. It lies on the Valen Peninsula, with the Ketrel Ocean to the west and the Sinder Highlands to the east. The capital and largest city is Ardentia. The population is about 3.2 million. The official language is Valenic, with English widely taught.

Valenmark’s modern formation began with the Valen Accord of 1849, uniting several principalities under a constitutional framework. It became a constitutional monarchy in the early 20th century and expanded suffrage through late-20th-century reforms.

Governing system: Valenmark operates as a constitutional monarchy with a ceremonial monarch and a prime minister who leads the government. The Parliament is bicameral, representing national and regional interests. The judiciary is independent, and six provinces provide local government.

Economy: Valenmark maintains a mixed economy centered on services, manufacturing, forestry, and aquaculture. Major exports include timber, seafood, machinery, and software services. The currency is the Valen, regulated by the Valenmark Central Bank, with open trade across neighboring regions.
