ValMenton is a town and valley in the fictional nation of Norda, located along the eastern coast of the Valarian Peninsula. The municipality covers the valley floor and surrounding foothills, with the historic town center at its core. The name is thought to combine a regional word for valley with a suffix from a medieval fortification.

The valley spans about 92 square kilometers, with elevations from 20 to 420 meters. The ValMenton River runs through the center, supporting orchards and fisheries. The climate is temperate with mild winters and warm summers.

History of the area dates to the 11th century, when it developed as a market town and river crossing. Fortifications were expanded in the late Middle Ages. The arrival of the railway in the 19th century spurred growth, and municipal status followed in the early 20th century.

The economy is diversified. Tourism centers on the valley’s scenery and historic architecture. Agriculture emphasizes citrus and olives, with vineyards on surrounding slopes. Light manufacturing and maritime services operate in the harbor district.

The municipality has roughly 18,000 residents. Local government uses a mayor-council system with a council of 20 members.

Notable sites include Fort ValMenton and the Saint-Maila Cathedral. The Old Town preserves medieval street plans. Annual events include a Harvest Festival and a Winter Light Procession.

ValMenton is connected by a regional highway and a rail line to the regional capital. ValMenton Station links to major cities; the nearest international airport is about 40 kilometers away.
