Examples of impact objectives might include improving public health, reducing poverty, increasing environmental sustainability, or fostering educational attainment. The achievement of impact objectives is usually evaluated through various research methods, data analysis, and long-term monitoring.

In strategic planning, defining clear impact objectives is crucial for guiding decision-making, resource allocation, and performance evaluation. They provide a vision and a sense of direction, ensuring that all activities are aligned towards achieving meaningful and lasting change. When formulating impact objectives, it is important to make them specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART), although the "measurable" aspect can be more complex and indirect for impact goals.
