Vaihesiirtymä
Vaihesiirtymä refers to a change in the phase of a wave. This phenomenon is commonly observed in various physical contexts, including optics, acoustics, and quantum mechanics. When a wave encounters a boundary or interacts with a medium, its phase can be altered. For instance, in optics, when light reflects off a surface, a phase shift can occur depending on the optical properties of the surface and the incident medium. This phase shift is often 0 or π radians (180 degrees), but can also take on intermediate values.
In the context of interference, phase shifts are crucial. Constructive interference occurs when waves are in
