Výlunost

Výlunost is a term used in Czech and Slovak languages to describe the process of hatching or emerging from an egg. It is a significant event in the life cycle of many animals, including birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. The term is derived from the Czech verb "vylíhnout se," which means "to hatch out" or "to emerge from an egg."

The výlunost process varies depending on the species. In birds, for example, the embryo develops inside the egg, absorbing nutrients from the yolk. Once development is complete, the chick breaks through the shell using a structure called the egg tooth, which is later shed. In reptiles, the young hatchling emerges from the egg with a dry, leathery shell that it must shed before it can survive outside.

In amphibians, the process is known as "hatching" rather than "vylunost." The tadpole emerges from the egg and is initially aquatic, breathing through gills. It then undergoes metamorphosis, transforming into a terrestrial adult.
