Värvimudelitel refers to color models, which are abstract mathematical models used to represent and organize colors. These models are essential in various fields, including computer graphics, printing, and design, allowing for consistent and reproducible color representation.

One of the most common color models is the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) model. This additive model is used for digital displays like monitors and cameras, where red, green, and blue light are combined in various proportions to create a wide spectrum of colors. When all three colors are at their maximum intensity, white is produced, and when they are all at their minimum, black is produced.

Another widely used model is CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black). This subtractive model is primarily used in printing. Unlike RGB, which adds light, CMYK works by subtracting light from a white surface. Cyan, magenta, and yellow inks absorb certain wavelengths of light, and the remaining light is reflected back to the viewer. Black ink (Key) is added to achieve deeper blacks and reduce the amount of ink used.

The HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) and HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) models offer a more intuitive way to describe colors. Hue represents the pure color itself (e.g., red, blue, green), saturation refers to the intensity or purity of the color, and lightness/value describes how bright or dark the color is. These models are often used in graphics software for color selection and manipulation.
