Värviesitusvõimekuse, often translated as color rendering capability or color rendition index (CRI), refers to the ability of a light source to accurately reproduce the colors of objects compared to a natural light source, such as sunlight. It is a crucial factor in lighting design, especially in applications where color accuracy is important.

The concept of värviesitusvõimekuse is quantified using the Color Rendering Index (CRI). The CRI is a numerical scale from 0 to 100, where a CRI of 100 represents the color rendering of a perfect natural light source. Higher CRI values indicate that the light source reproduces colors more faithfully. For example, a light source with a CRI of 90 or above is considered excellent for most applications.
