Uruan

Uruan is a municipality located in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. It is situated in the Agreste mesoregion of the state. The municipality covers an area of approximately 360 square kilometers and had an estimated population of around 12,000 inhabitants as of a recent census. Uruan is part of the microregion of Garanhuns.

The economy of Uruan is primarily based on agriculture and livestock. Crops such as corn, beans, and cassava are cultivated in the region, alongside the raising of cattle and goats. The municipality also has a small industrial sector and services contributing to its economic activity.
