Urngravar

Urngravar are burial sites designed to hold cremated remains in an urn within a cemetery. The term is used in Nordic languages to describe graves created for ashes after cremation, offering a permanent memorial space for relatives.

In a typical urn grave, the cremated remains are placed in an urn and interred in a designated grave plot. The urn may be buried directly in the ground or placed in a protective container or niche within the grave.
