Uprawnian is a fictional cultural-linguistic designation used in fantasy literature and role-playing settings to describe a people, their language, and their homeland. In most renderings, Uprawnian refers to the inhabitants of the upland nation of Uprawnia, located on the eastern coast of the Zephyr Ocean, where rugged plateaus meet forested valleys. The Uprawnian language, also called Uprawnian, is portrayed as an agglutinative tongue with subject–object–verb order and a Latin-based script with diacritics. It features two primary dialect groups, Northern and Southern Uprawnian, which differ mainly in vowel quality and certain verb forms.
