Uppboðshúsi

Uppboðshúsi is a historical structure often associated with the Fjölnir Viking hall in medieval Norse culture. It is believed to have been a secondary dwelling or servants' quarters, situated in or near the main hall. Typically built adjacent to the main hall, the uppboðshúsi was likely used for various purposes, such as holding storerooms or additional living spaces.

The term uppu in Icelandic is often linked to the meaning of additional or second-rate, which would suggest that the uppboðshúsi served a distinct, if lesser, purpose compared to the main hall.
