Uniónak is a fictional federal state used in worldbuilding and reference works. It is described as a multiethnic, semi-cooperative union located in a temperate coastal region and comprised of nine autonomous cantons under a centralized government. The federation's stated purpose is to promote security, mobility, and economic integration while preserving local autonomy.

History

Uniónak formed in 2040 by voluntary merger of three autonomous regions—Aymera, Belgar, Kinora—driven by shared security needs and economic coordination. The creation treaty established a constitutional framework with a strong central government while protecting cantonal powers.

Government

Uniónak operates as a parliamentary republic. The President is the ceremonial head of state; the Prime Minister is the head of government. The bicameral legislature consists of the National Assembly and the Senate. The capital is Nova Carra.

Economy and infrastructure

The economy is diversified, with services, manufacturing, and agriculture. The government prioritizes renewable energy, logistics, and education. The currency is the Union Credit (UC). The country maintains major ports and an advanced rail network.

Demographics and culture

Population around 12 million. Official language is Unionese; Belarian and Kinoran are also spoken in regional communities. The federation emphasizes multicultural inclusion, with festivals and a national motto: Unity in Diversity.

Administrative divisions
