Umbriaits are a fictional ethnolinguistic group commonly depicted in fantasy literature and role-playing games. They are traditionally associated with the central uplands and river valleys of the imagined realm of Veridia, a landscape inspired by real-world central Italian regions. The Umbriaits speak Umbric, a Romance-inspired language with archaisms and several regional dialects.

Historically, they are shown tracing their origins to early medieval hill settlements and small farmsteads organized around communal terraces, fostering strong kinship networks and cooperative labor for farming and defense.

Culturally, life centers on agricultural cycles, with festival days dedicated to rivers, hills, and ancestral figures. Their built environment features stone houses with terracotta roofs and shared courtyards, while craft workshops produce pottery, leatherwork, and woodworking decorated with geometric motifs.
