Ultrahangkontrasztként is a term used in medical imaging, specifically in diagnostic ultrasound, to refer to contrast agents administered to enhance the visualization of certain tissues or blood flow. These agents are typically microbubbles of gas encapsulated in a stable shell, making them visible to ultrasound waves. When injected into the bloodstream, these microbubbles travel through the vascular system and can accumulate in specific areas, reflecting ultrasound signals more strongly than surrounding tissues. This increased reflection, or enhancement, allows for better differentiation of normal and abnormal structures, such as tumors, lesions, or areas of reduced blood flow.
