Ulkoryhmät, often translated as "external groups" or "outsider groups" in English, is a sociological term referring to groups that individuals perceive as distinct from their own in-group. This distinction is fundamental to understanding social identity and intergroup relations. Individuals tend to categorize themselves and others into various social groups, such as family, friends, colleagues, or even broader categories like nationality or ethnicity.
