USWest1
USWest1 is a region within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) global infrastructure, designed to provide low-latency access to customers in the western United States. It is one of the original AWS regions, launched in 2011, and is located in Northern California. The region is composed of multiple Availability Zones, which are physically separate data centers designed to provide high availability and fault tolerance. USWest1 is optimized for applications that require low-latency access to users in the western United States, as well as for applications that need to comply with data residency requirements. The region supports a wide range of AWS services, including compute, storage, database, and machine learning. It is also home to the AWS Global Accelerator, a service that improves the availability and performance of applications by using the AWS global network. USWest1 is connected to other AWS regions via high-speed, low-latency connections, enabling customers to build globally distributed applications.
