UDPICMPTCP
UDPICMPTCP is a term used in some peer discussions and research proposals to describe a conceptual transport approach that combines elements of UDP, ICMP, and TCP into a single, multiplexed communication framework. It is not a formal standard and there is no widely adopted specification or mainstream deployment. In essence, the idea envisions a higher-layer transport that can carry datagrams with UDP-like low latency, exchange control and diagnostic messages via ICMP-like signaling, and provide reliable streaming through a TCP-like mechanism, all within a unified protocol envelope.
Architecturally, UDPICMPTCP is described as a multiprotocol transport layer where a common framing layer distinguishes three
Use cases discussed in speculative or research contexts include network diagnostics, testing of path MTU and
