Täitevorganit
Täitevorganit is an Estonian term that translates to "executive body" or "executive authority." It refers to the part of the state's power that is responsible for implementing and enforcing laws. In Estonia, the täitevorganit is primarily represented by the government, which is headed by the Prime Minister and includes the various ministries. The government's role is to develop and execute state policy, manage public administration, and ensure the functioning of the state according to the laws passed by the legislative body, the Riigikogu. This includes issuing regulations, managing budgets, and overseeing state institutions. The täitevorganit is distinct from the legislative and judicial branches of government, although it works in conjunction with them to uphold the rule of law. Its actions are subject to review by the courts and oversight by the parliament. The concept of täitevorganit is fundamental to the separation of powers in a democratic system.
