Työaikaekvivalentti, often abbreviated as FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) in English, is a unit of measurement used to quantify an employee's working time in relation to a full-time position. It represents the number of full-time employees that could be employed if all staff worked the standard full-time hours. For example, two employees each working half-time would equate to one FTE. This concept is crucial for statistical analysis, resource allocation, and workforce planning.

The calculation of FTE typically involves dividing an employee's actual hours worked by the standard full-time working hours in a given period.
