Tutong

Tutong is a district of Brunei, located on the western coast of the country. It is named after the Tutong River, which flows through the district and empties into the South China Sea near Pekan Tutong, the district capital. The district borders Belait District to the west and Brunei-Muara District to the southeast, with a northern coastline along Brunei Bay.

Geography and environment within Tutong include lowland tropical rainforest, mangrove forests along the coast, and extensive agricultural land. Rivers and waterways shape the settlement patterns, with communities clustered around the river and along the coast. The landscape supports both rural villages and smaller urbanized areas.

Road connections link Pekan Tutong to Bandar Seri Begawan via the Tutong Highway, providing overland access to other parts of Brunei.
