TurfGrid

TurfGrid is a geocellular confinement system designed to stabilize granular fill materials, primarily for turf reinforcement and erosion control applications. It consists of a three-dimensional honeycomb structure manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE). When expanded, the interconnected cells create a stable mat that confines infill, preventing lateral movement and erosion.

The primary function of TurfGrid is to enhance the load-bearing capacity and durability of vegetated surfaces. The cellular structure provides confinement to the infill, whether it's soil, gravel, or sand, which reduces compaction and shear stress. This confinement allows vegetation to establish more effectively and withstand heavier loads, such as pedestrian traffic or light vehicular access. The open nature of the cells also promotes root penetration and allows for water infiltration, which is beneficial for plant health and reduces surface runoff.

TurfGrid is often used in applications like sports fields, golf courses, driveways, parking areas, and slopes to prevent soil erosion and turf wear. Its interlocking design allows for easy installation, and it can be cut to fit specific shapes and contours. The system is known for its strength, durability, and resistance to environmental factors.
