Tuotossa

Tuotossa is a Finnish noun form that can be glossed as "in production" or "in the course of production." It represents the inessive singular of the noun tuotto, meaning production or yield, and is sometimes encountered in older texts, stylistic usage, or shorthand where brevity is desired. In contemporary Finnish, however, the standard way to express that something is currently being produced is tuotannossa, the inessive of tuotanto.

Writers who aim for neutral, clear Finnish are generally advised to prefer tuotannossa when describing ongoing production, manufacturing, or creation processes. If tuotossa is used, the surrounding syntax should not rely on it as a sole predicate and it should be clarified by the rest of the sentence.
