The Tswana people, also known as Batswana, are a Bantu ethnic group who are native to Southern Africa. They are the largest ethnic group in Botswana, where they form the majority of the population. Significant Tswana communities also reside in South Africa, and smaller populations are found in Zimbabwe and Namibia. The Tswana language, Setswana, is a Bantu language spoken by all Tswana people and is mutually intelligible with Sesotho and Sepedi.
