Tskærer

Tskærer is a Danish term that translates to "wood borer" or "wood beetle" in English. It refers to a general category of insects that bore into and consume wood. This classification encompasses a wide range of species, many of which belong to the order Coleoptera (beetles). Different types of tskærer have distinct life cycles, dietary preferences, and levels of damage they inflict on wooden structures and objects.

Common culprits include the larvae of certain beetle families, such as Anobiidae (woodworm beetles), Cerambycidae (longhorn beetles), and Scolytinae (bark beetles).
