Triporate

Triporate is a botanical term used in palynology to describe pollen grains that possess three apertures on their surface. These apertures, typically pores, serve as germination sites for the pollen tube. The three apertures are usually arranged around the equator of the grain, though their exact positions and shapes can vary among plant groups.

In the broader pollen-aperture classification, triporate refers to a distinct aperture type alongside monoporate (one pore) and other poly-aperturate forms.
