Triggereita is a type of igneous rock, specifically a type of pyroxene-rich diorite or granodiorite. Geologists described it for the first time in the 1980s, in the country of Greenland. Its characteristics make it notable among other types of igneous rocks.

Triggereita is coarser-grained and has a texture characterized by the presence of relatively large, tabular crystals of pyroxene minerals. The rock's color can vary from pale to dark gray and exhibits a distinctive lack of certain minerals. For example, it does not typically contain ornaeorbit presents, a type of mineral. This absence might contribute to its coarser texture.
