Trichrom
Trichrom is a term that can refer to several different concepts, most commonly relating to color vision or pigments. In the context of vision, trichromacy describes the normal ability of humans and many other animals to perceive color through the use of three different types of cone cells in the retina. These cone cells are sensitive to different wavelengths of light, typically red, green, and blue. When these cells are stimulated in varying degrees, the brain interprets the signals as different colors. Individuals with trichromacy have a full spectrum of color perception.
