Travienzt is a fictional city frequently used in fantasy and science fiction narratives and in tabletop role-playing games. In most depictions it lies along the Trell River in the eastern part of an imagined realm, serving as a regional administrative and commercial hub.

Historically, Travienzt developed from a 12th‑century trading post founded by merchants seeking river access. It grew into a fortified town whose walls and gates reflected its strategic position. The city underwent industrial expansion in the 19th century and has since evolved into a diversified urban center with urban cores and surrounding suburbs.

Geographically, the city occupies a temperate river valley with nearby hills. It covers roughly sixty square kilometers and features riverfront promenades, parks, and a network of bridges linking distinct districts.

Demographics and culture: The population is about 150,000. The principal language is Travienztan, with widespread use of a common trade language for business. The city hosts theaters, museums, and markets, and it hosts annual festivals such as Harvest Lanterns and River Week.

Governance and economy: Travienzt operates under a mayor–council system. The municipal government manages services, planning, and regional coordination. Its economy centers on logistics and trade, manufacturing, finance, and tourism, with the river port serving as a key node.

Transport and landmarks: Rail connections link Travienzt to neighboring cities; a tram network circulates within the urban core; a river port handles freight and ferries. Notable landmarks include the Old City Gate, the Central Market, Verdant Gardens, the Grand Opera House, and the University Campus.

Education: The city hosts Travienzt University, founded in 1894, and several research institutes. The institutions attract students and contribute to local innovation and culture.
