Trasnmitter is a common misspelling of transmitter. A transmitter is an electronic device that generates and radiates an electrical signal intended to propagate through space as an electromagnetic wave. It converts electrical power into radio frequency energy and modulates it with information for wireless communication. The basic signal path begins with a source of information, a carrier oscillator, a modulator, an RF power amplifier, and a transmission line to an antenna. The modulator imposes the information signal onto a carrier frequency generated by the oscillator. The amplifier increases the power of the modulated signal to a level suitable for transmission. A filter or tuning network shapes the output spectrum and helps reject undesired frequencies, ensuring compliance with allocated bands.
