Translatoire

Translatoire is an adjective and, in some Francophone technical writings, a noun used to describe aspects related to translation or to translational movement. The word is derived from Latin roots meaning to carry across, and in English the cognates translational or translatory are more common. In practice, translatoire appears primarily in French-language texts and is rarely used as a standard English term.

In linguistics and translation studies, translatoire refers to phenomena or considerations connected with the act of translating.
