Traitbanding
Traitbanding is a data visualization and analysis approach used to represent multiple phenotypic traits as a series of contiguous bands along a one-dimensional axis, typically corresponding to individuals, genomic positions, or trait categories. In a traitbanding diagram, each trait is assigned a band position and a color or intensity that reflects its state (such as presence or absence, or a quantitative level). The resulting layout makes patterns of co-occurrence, correlation, or gradient more immediately visible than by examining trait values in isolation.
