Traditave is a neologism used in some scholarly and cultural discourses to refer to systems, practices, or ideologies that treat tradition as a primary source of authority in guiding behavior and decision making. The term blends tradition with the English suffix -ive and is not yet widely adopted in standard dictionaries, leaving its precise scope variable across texts.

In practice, traditave can describe a social regime in which customary norms, inherited roles, and ritual practices shape law, governance, and everyday conduct, with departures from tradition often framed as disruption or error. As a label, it may function descriptively—“traditave tendencies within a polity”—or normatively, as a critique of overreliance on inherited rules.

Scholarship that uses traditave often situates it within broader discussions of traditionalism, conservatism, and cultural continuity.
