Tprofiel

Tprofiel, or T-profile, is a structural cross-section shaped like the letter T. It consists of a horizontal flange at the end of a vertical stem, forming a T-shaped profile. This geometry provides a broad bearing surface combined with a slender stem, delivering efficient material use for bending resistance. The exact dimensions are specified by the flange width, stem thickness, and overall height, with many variants in proportions.

Manufacturing methods include hot-rolling, extrusion, and cold-forming, depending on material and application. T-profiles are produced in steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals, and finishes range from galvanizing to painting or anodizing.

Applications span frames, supports, brackets, and track or guide systems in machinery and structures where a flange along one axis is advantageous. They are used in light- to medium-load constructions, furniture frames, and assemblies requiring a rigid yet compact section.
